We had been ordering take-out from Golden House for many years, but they sort of went downhill for a while. We decided to give them try again last night (3/19/14) and all I can say is WOO_HOO, they're back! We had the honey garlic chicken which was crispy and delis (even cold today) and we also had the Szechuan beef extra spicy. Even the spring rolls were light and crispy (not greasy like some). They can expect to see us again, VERY soon! YUM-MO. Update: well we've been back twice since my last post and we had another good experience and a bad one. So 2 out of three times were good. So my advice them would be to work on consistency.

I'm only giving it a 3 star cause the honey chicken was super super dry!! Yea I ordered it Togo, my fault. If I decide to have another Chinese food craving I'll be sure to eat there. The rice and the honey chicken we in the same container. I thought that everything came separate. Apparently I'm wrong. I'm thinking no more Togo food for me. I can't have sesame seeds, I didn't know that the honey would come in a container with the sesame seeds all in it. If someone would of said it comes with it I would of said no seeds. Anyways I think I learned my lesson for ordering Togo. If I go in and this place changes my option I'll sure update this post. Pork fried rice was ok.

I ordered from them a week ago and am ordering again tonight. I have always ordered from a closer Chinese food restaurant but they stopped making pork ribs. So, I searched around online and found Golden House. Aside from the delivery guy getting a bit lost, the food was dead on. I usually stay near china town when in NY or San Francisco and am an Asian food junkie! The food was hot, and everything from the beef lo mien, chix broccoli, including the pork ribs, were great! Tried a new delivery place tonight because they left a menu on my door. Awful mixed soup. Awful crunchies to go with the soup. Awful General Tso's chicken and fried rice. Even the fortune cookie sucked. Not ordering from this place again. What a letdown!

I like the food here and it is quick. They also deliver. I love their waitress who is so good. If u want a quiet place with excellent food that comes out quick - try this place.

Chinese food around here is really hit or miss but this place is a big HIT! The portions are pretty standard sized but they pack the meat in. The spring rolls are fantastic! The white rice is bland (most white rice is) but the lo mein is perfect. If you're in the delivery area you're in for a treat, the guy that does the deliveries usually runs ahead of schedule but will almost always give you a story about how he would have "been there earlier but..." Take the time to have a little convo with him, it might be the best part of the meal!

Good flavors, massive portions!! Hubby had mongolian beef and said it was heaven. Sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken tasted a bit too similar but still yummy and the cashew chicken was out of this world good. We had delivery and we ordered jumbo egg fried rice. It would feet 10 people it was so huge and ok. Hubby had pork fried rice and is now a total fan.

Slightly above average chinese joint. A bit inconsistent but still reasonable for the price. The owners work hard and are very nice. It's my usual chinese delivery place so give it a try. Oh, and avoid the Mongolian beef.

Delivery was fast & arrived earlier than quoted time. They charged me a $1 delivery charge after telling me on the phone I was over the min. amount... Pulled the box out & it was dripping sauce everywhere! Egg roll & vegetable fried rice were ok for south Florida but the honey chicken was deep fried in some old oil:(

Beware! if you are a fan of many years. New ownership for a few months - chaos still reigns - food substandard - carryout order incomplete (corrected at my request b4 I left) - at home, discovered wrong rice. Telephone order taker barely speaks English. We were spoiled by high quality everything and will not return to this new operation.

Nice family run restaurant. Good service, better than average food. They have combo meals that include soup- you guessed it..hot and sour , egg drop or wonton. They place two bowls of crunchy chow mein noodles on the table to munch on with hot mustard and sweet sauce. This a great alternative to the sloppy buffets around town.

Surprisingly good! At a nearby hotel, I ordered delivery. The food was fantastic and very high quality. Delivery was fast and professional. The price was reasonable, but the portions were fairly small compared to most Chinese carry outs. Overall, very impressed and wish this was closer to my home in St. Augustine!

I highly recommend this place! first time ordering, and we loved it! We got the Family Special #2 the price was very reasonable, and the shrimp fried rice had a lot of shrimp and not the tiny ones, also had enough veggies, delivery was on time and we even got a complimentary beverage. Crab rangoon was not the best but the egg rolls and spring rolls were very good.

I have lunch here about every other week. A definite step above typical strip mall take-out chinese. The dishes have good seasoning, not bland at all. However lacks some of the finer qualities of a truly must visit restaurant. Interior could use some updating. If you're in the area, the best chinese food for a few miles in any direction.

First time, went for take out during lunch hour. Quick service even had owners 7year old son take my order. Standard lunch menu, meat rice egg roll. I tried orange chicken with egg roll and friend rice. Was under whelmed with orange chicken which made over all experience dry. Would go back and try something different. Speed of check out was great and family were nice during process

Ok so this place has apparently (from the poster at the host stand) in the top 100 chinese restaurants in America. I don't know how. Service was fine, placed a takeout order and it was ready when they said it would be. I ordered honey garlic chicken, shrimp lo mein and crab rangoons. The breading on the chicken was still mushy and doughy, a raw texture to it. The honey garlic sauce was cold and tasted really bad. The rangoons were hot and crispy but, plain tasting. No flavor. Same for the lo mein. It was mediocre at best, I won't order from them again.

After ordering delivery from this place, I started reading some of the one star reviews and got pretty nervous after doing so. I ordered the Chicken, Shrimp, Scallop meal on shrimp fried rice, and Peppered steak also on shrimp fried rice. Wonton Soup, Krab Rangoons.... The Krab Rangoons tasted old and chewy *stale*. The Shrimp Fried Rice, and Pork Egg Roll was the only thing that tasted freshly prepped. Unfortunately, I did not like the peppered steak, the consistency of the steak made me feel like I was eating an old sausage "canned" steak if that is even a thing. The flavors in the stir fry was questionable. I had my dad over and he's an avid fan of Chinese food, and he said that his food smelled like pee. It's very sad, but I'd have to agree. It was a let down. The only way I would ever eat here again is if they have a change in CHEFS, and quality of ingredients. (Other than that, I'd never risk another let down) They also did not place cutlery or plates inside the delivery package. Kudos to the sauces placed, and fortune cookies... but don't expect to receive a plate. I believe that food should be enjoyed fresh, they did not deliver.

Ordered tonight and it was the worse Chinese food I had since I arrived in Florida 18 years ago. The hot and sour soup was bland. The spring rolls were not fresh at all. The Dim-sum was dough wrapped around a small bit of BBQ pork. Obliviously frozen as the freezer paper was still on the bottom. The fried had a bad after taste. The delivery service was quick and the driver friendly. The food YUCK!

My family and I came down to Florida to visit family, and we all wanted to get Chinese. The other restaurants around this area had pretty bad reviews, so I took a chance and chose the one with no reviews. When we went to pick up the order the lady had the whole order in a cut Coors Light box that she taped up so nothing would fall out. She was so friendly and really made sure we had everything we needed. We got shrimp and vegetables, sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, honey chicken, and wonton soup. Everything was even better than the last. The total cost for everything was about $50, and fed all eight of us. From what I saw of the restaurant when we picked up the food it looked like it had decent atmosphere.

Very clean. Food was great (i ordered take out) and it was ready very quickly. The food was very fresh and the eggroll was REALLY good. I have ordered from a few other chinese places but this is my new favorite.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
